EARTH´S MOVEMENTS

Rotation: The Earth rotates in an anti-clockwise direction around an imaginary line called the axis that runs from the North Pole to the South Pole. It takes 24 hours for the Earth to complete one rotation. This movement causes day and night.

Revolution: The Earth also revolves around the Sun. It takes about 365 days to complete one revolution. This movement causes four seasons and the solstice and equinox. When is summer in the Northem Hemisphere it is winter in the Southem Hemisphere.
